“Delightful afternoon tea”
We asked if the Crosby Tea Rooms could host a special afternoon tea as part of our friend's hen do. It really was special - the table was lovely with vintage china, three tiered cake stands and very pretty flowers, lots of decorations and a flickering candle in a tea cup! The food was excellent with a range of sandwiches, cupcakes hand made by Jenny [check out her cake gallery on FB - yummy] with extremely delicious topping - not the usual sickly sweet icing - and scones, jams and clotted cream. The jams were home made too and included pomegranate and rhubarb both of which were sooo good. They made a special range of sandwiches and cakes for our gluten free friend - and even gave her the extra ones baked in the batch to take home! One of us couldn't eat the cream so they brought over a Knickerbocker glory glass full of ripe black cherries instead. The emporium upstairs is really worth a browse too with jewellery and knick knacks and clothes. All very reasonably priced and a lot of them upcycled locally!! And to top it all the prices of the afternoon tea were v good value and included lots of top ups to the tea cups. We left very fat and full and planning the next visits! Tell your friends and support local enterprise at the same time! Thanks Jenny and Lucy!

“Total Perfection”
Completely amazing food, drink and atmosphere. You all need to go and experience this traditional tea room. The live music performed is exceptional and the staff are really friendly, especially the owner. Such a treat, go and visit.

"easy to find, good location, easy parking and most important for me that it is dog friendly!"

“Delicious and charming with extra surprise upstairs”
My friend and I opted for toasted ciabatta followed by tea and scone or cake . All were home made and delicious and I can highly recommend the halumi and chorizo ciabatta. Staff were charming and extremely helpful . The decor very "vintage " and quaint . The crafty stalls upstairs were an added bonus .
Would definitely recommend , a lovely treat !

“Late afternoon lunch”
My friend treated me to a trip out to "Another Place". An interesting walk along the beach and a lovely sunny day although a little windy. Then a short walk to The Crosby Tea rooms. We arrived at about 3pm and they were due to close at 4pm. I had a delicious toasted Ciabatta filled with goats cheese and caramelised red onions. My friend had halloumi and chorizio filling. They came each with a mixed salad and balsamic dressing and homemade coleslaw (not too heavy with mayonnaise, as I like it). Great value and tasty. We succumbed to the afternoon tea as well. Delicious red velvet cake and scone and cream with English breakfast tea. We left at 4pm but felt under no pressure to do so. Whilst waiting for our ciabatta we had a look around the retro emporium. Again interesting. A fun afternoon topped off with a good lunch/tea and friendly staff.

“A gem of a tea room.”
I visited the Crosby Tea Rooms by chance, after passing by and noticing the colourful window display and planters outside, once inside the friendly atmosphere and good music( not too loud) added to the feeling of being made welcome, I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast and the Staff advised me on the choice of tea ( no chipped tea pots in sight) really excellent food and drink served by helpful and cheerful staff.. Then upstairs to the Emporium.. Fantastic stalls selling loads of crafts and up cycled goods. All in all.. A great little find. Highly recommended .

“A lovely little find, with good food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.”
Me and 3 of my friends (plus 2 young children) came here for afternoon tea earlier this week, and I must say we had a fabulous time. Not only was the food delicious (the white choc and raspberry cake is to die for!!) but the staff where very friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough for the two children we had with us (one 3 year old, one 6 months). We found we could comfortably sit there for a couple of hours and chat away and didn't feel rushed by staff to go, which I must say I have found in some other establishments.
Once we had asked for the bill, we where told about The Crosby Emporium which is situated above the cafe, which is basically a lovely little indoor craft and gift market. What an amazing little place!

All in all I could happily spend another few hours between the cafe and emporium again, I would most definitely go back there.
Food and shopping in one place-two of my favourite things!
Il be recommending you to all my friends ladies! Keep up the good work :)

"Service and food great and not treated like second class citizens because of using Livingsocial voucher which can often be the case."
